Logic for Algorithmic Debt Elimination

The Avalanche Method operates on the principle of Interest Rate Hierarchy. Unlike the behavioral focus of the Debt Snowball, this strategy targets the debt with the highest Annual Percentage Rate (APR) first. By neutralizing high-interest liabilities, the debtor minimizes the "cost of carry," ensuring that more of each subsequent payment is applied directly to the principal balance.

Technical execution requires maintaining minimum monthly payments on all existing accounts except the primary target. All surplus liquidity—calculated through strict Cash Flow Allocation—is directed toward the debt at the top of the APR list. Once the high-interest liability is zeroed, the entire payment volume (minimum + surplus) is reallocated to the next highest APR account.
